Kelly Lund

Kelly Lund is Paths & Paws' Lead Adventure Scout, bringing over a decade of backcountry experience to every gear review and trail guide. With more than 5,000 trail miles logged alongside his dogs, he's tested equipment in conditions ranging from desert heat to alpine snow.

Before joining Paths & Paws, Kelly worked as a wilderness guide in Colorado and Montana, where he developed his expertise in multi-day backpacking with dogs. He holds certifications in wilderness first aid and has completed extensive training in avalanche safety.

Kelly's testing methodology focuses on real-world durability, fit across different body types, and performance under stress. He believes the best gear is the gear you forget you're wearing—because it just works.

When he's not on assignment, you'll find Kelly exploring lesser-known trails in the San Juan Mountains with his dogs, always scouting the next great adventure.
